CREATIVE BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

If you're tired of taking the kids to Chuck E. Cheese for birthday parties, the MOM SQUAD has some great ideas...
Consider decorating a refrig box like a pirate ship, castle, fire engine or space ship.
Cut paper goods costs by only buying theme plates/napkins for the cake and use plain for meal plate.

Use your kids toys/books on serving tables and mantels as party decor. Take "old school games" and change them to go with your theme. For Hot Potato, you can pass anything for your theme even a action figure. Play fun music that goes along. For Pin the tail on the donkey you can pin the nose on any character or hat or crown for that matter. For musical chairs try using hula hoops, carpet squares or towels. Make sure you set the game up where it is just for fun. I feel, birthdays are not the time to teach kids how to loose.

First Birthday traditions: Send a special note card with each invite for each family to write a letter to your baby or make a time capsule, buy a white table cloth and fabric markers have each guest each year write a message or add a finger or handprint.

*** Most grocery stores will give you a small baby cake with your sheet cake purchase if they know it's a baby's first birthday.
Goody bags!!K.I.S.S (keep it simple sister) attach a little card or label saying thank you for helping me celebrate.
crown
ball
legos
playdough
bubbles
necklace
baseball hat
Do a simple craft that can be taken home.
Consider one item that will be played with and treasured, than million that end up in the garbage.

When holding a Preschooler's party put all your child's toys away, keep bedroom off limits.

Play group games and keep things moving.
Please add more ideas to this post, every parent can use a new idea:). Feel free to post party questions I can respond with ideas fitting almost any theme or contact you directly. Posted by Carrie Lovett
